CrewAlert TOD (“TOD" for Top Of Descent) is an application for airline crew to quickly and easily collect data reflecting their experienced sleepiness levels (on the KSS scale), and securely sharing that back for use by researchers or an airline operator.
For research, the data can benefit validation and development of so called bio-mathematical models.
For an operator, the data can be used for monitoring fatigue risk trends, levels and identifying hotspots - guiding the fatigue risk improvement work done in operations, but also the crew planning processes.Note: CrewAlert TOD cannot be used without an approved ’survey code’ and a ‘personal ID code’.
Those will for each data collection be provided by a designated data collection coordinator at the operator.
